Sandy, please post a review of your use of the Square for taking credit cards. I very much want to use one (I currently use a knucklebuster) but am concerned about whether customers are comfortable not getting a paper CC receipt. Also, what if they don't have email, as is true for some of my older clients. I'd love to hear some feedback!

I'd love to talk to another first timer! Don't forget to take LOTS of little 1 inch rubber tipped metal clamps. They come in so handy... A brochure is awesome if you have some really technical aspects of your work to tell people about... The way a certain pigment you use is similar to Michaelangelo or something. :) Do you have a banner yet? I got mine at vistaprint.com and then they gave me a great discount on my new business cards. I actually got a couple of gallery contracts from my show, and one of the owners told me it was because I had such a professional appearance, while still being obviously new and unique.

Good luck with your show!!

Thanks Paula - really appreciate it.

I've got a small "crew" that has specific duties and I'll have to make sure that photography is one of the duties.

the discussions threads are great to read, so I can minimize my "it's funny now, but not at the time" stories that i ever get to post.

Good to know too that I have some options with the credit cards at this late in the game. comforting to know i'm not the only one that completely forgot about this the first time around.

Have i mentioned it lately - I am digging all of this.
