What Art is
Art is the soul of the painter. It is the heart of the photographer. It is the mind of the digital artist. Art is emotion. A piece if art will elicit the emotion of the viewer. Be it love, sadness, joy or hate and anger. Art without an emotional response is not art at all. It becomes a place holder. A piece of paper. Blank. Nothing. An artist is a light painter. Whether with the camera capturing it or the paint brush painting it. No two artists will see a scene the same way. That is what makes it unique. That is what makes it painful and joyous at the same time. Each piece of artwork is a piece of the artist. When viewing a piece of art you are seeing into the artists soul.

Hi Michelle,
I enjoyed hearing your thoughts on Art Fairs on the recent podcast. This was my first year trying out art fairs, and many of your experiences mirrored mine. I spent three hot days at Summerfair in Cincinnati and came to the conclusion that I needed to switch from printmaking to creating weathered metal spikes for the garden.
Good luck in your search for new venues. I may perhaps see you at one!
