It's probably too late for any show worth applying to, but I figured I'd ask if anyone knows of  any in the NC, VA, MD, DC, PA area in August still open? Thanks,MichelleContinue

Greetings from Raleigh, NC!

I've just joined the site, and I'm interested in reading about artists' experiences at art fairs in the southeast.  Like many of us, I've experienced the downturn in the economy, and find myself in search of new shows to consider this year. I'm also a former show creator/promoter (Festival Noir, Boston 1993--2005), so I can offer insights from that side of the business.'Looking forward to becoming an active part of this community.... MichelleSee More

What NC or SC show are you looking forward to this year?

Are there any?  If so, which one(s), and why?    If there aren't any, why is that? For me, for the past 8 years, one of my best shows of the year has been Festival for the Eno, on July 4th weekend, in Durham, NC (www.enoriver.org).  Positives:  No application fee (apps. due 2/15/12), low booth fee ($185 for 3 days, payable after you're juried in), great staff, easy load in any time the day before, good crowds, and good to excellent sales.  Negative:  HOT…See More
