What are the best things about art fairs
I love interacting with the visitors. Second best thing...meeting all the other artists, seeing what their art and passion is AND bartering with other artists for wonderful handmade goods.
Best show ever and why
Today my vote would go to the Art of the Land in Harvard if the fall of 2010. 30% of the proceeds went to help preserve open space in McHenry County Illinois. Patrons were very generous and enthusiastic about buying art to protect open space. The alignment with my personal dedication to open space were perfectly aligned with the shows sponsor.

Say, would you check out my last couple of comments on the 57th street post. I had an aha! moment--the guy that hated the show so much is from CT. I started wondering if there is a regional difference in how people sell at art shows. You think???

Yes, long time. I really hope you are enjoying the art show circuit as a painter. How is it going?? I don't usually post or look here but I should! It has really useful info. My show schedule is packed this year and I am both eager and anxious. I have a few shows that are quite a drive and you never know if they will be worth it finacially.
