Do not miss out on legal and vital tax deductions

We just had a discussion last week while at an art fair with a very well known ceramic artist. He was bemoaning the amount of taxes he had to pay this year. Jim asked, "How much did you contribute to your retirement accounts?" His reply was, "I do not have any retirement accounts". Jim is a retired investment advisor with Smith Barney, and was astonished. Here are some bullet points for all who have any income from their business:Almost anyone who has income from their own business may open a…See More

Posted on September 27, 2010 at 5:12pm 2 Comments

Atalaya is a well run, well organized art fair at Huntington Beach State Park just south of Myrtle Beach, SC. It offers a picturesque setting, cash awards, friendly and helpful staff, and though music and food are available they are not intrusive. What they were unable to provide, however, were buyers. Crowds were good on Friday, indeed, there was a long line waiting for entry when the show opened at noon. Everyone looked and commented on how nice the art was, but did not buy. All the artists… Continue
