"Peter,  I suggest that you look at shows that are one step higher than what you are currently doing. Outdoor art shows one or two day, with a booth fee $150-$300. Traffic of 7,000-12,000 or so, an established show. You will have to put more…"

Just a quick post with a little info on two shows.

Anyone, please feel free to add or comment.

Mt. Gretna Art Show, Mt. Gretna, PA

Jenifer VonStein posted a bit back on Mt. Gretna Art Show.

Thought I would add. I have done this show about 7-8 times over the past 10 years.

This show is a two day mid August. Situated in scenic Mt. Gretna, PA.

Wonderful setting.  Trees, grass, decent food and background music.

Apps are on Zapp :…

Reston VA Show, a short report

Posted on May 19, 2015 at 9:27am 22 Comments

Two things:

1. Beautiful show, great work, great presentation, great food, great looking crowd,

in a sophisticated area (DC). Perfect. Show committee did a wonderful job here. Everything was great.

2. Sales. Not.

The customers that I had all told me the same thing---they WALKED from their condo to the show!

This show was too good to not be visited by people from the greater DC area- where were they?

 For a $500 booth fee, $50 jury…

Manayunk Art Show 2013

Posted on June 24, 2013 at 9:00am 38 Comments

Here are a few thoughts on the show, while they are fresh in my mind:

Manayunk, June 22, 23, 2013.

Large street show, variety of work, good quality and some ok work.

Nice area, nice atmosphere.

Interspersed in between booths- commercial booths- 5 Hour Energy, Geiceo, etc.

Also gave out tons of free yogurt near me- tons, so people were carrying entire BOXES of cold yougurt, hands full, and I would say no longer shopping as they just received some…

Thank God for you.   I thought that I was strictly alone regarding my comments.  As old as I am I am still stunned that some people (very, very few) are watching The Ed show!  I am open to all opinions within reason and listen to different discussions but I do not tolerate stupidity-and that is what we have so much of.  I am honored to be your friend and please keep in touch.

Nate
