Jim Parker replied to Dwayne Flake's discussion Mounting photos on wood or masonite in the group Photographers Darkroom
"Spray Mount is not particularly archival, either. Prints mounted with it have a tendency to bubble over time, and the adhesive hardens, making it nigh to impossible to remove the print from the backing."

"You could try Breathing Color's Glamour II or Timeless varnish, both as a protective coating and as an adhesive. Or you can have the photos laminated professionally at a lab.  Coda Mount sells a product that is cold-mount, but it…"

Mounting photos on wood or masonite

Any suggestions for how to glue or mount photos to wood or masonite backing.  My wife and I do photography and fused glass, we are going to try and incorporate the two by mounting a photo on a hard backing and then placing fused glass pices around the photo for a "frame" effect. Also, any ideas for what we could use to "coat" the pictures with to provide some kind of protection for them? thanks,DwayneDC Photo and Art  See More

"Any online backup service can only accept data at the rate of your internet connection. Getting 100's of Gb of data takes months, not days. Many of these services throttle your speed after a preset data ceiling has been reached.  There was…"

"No. Way too Slow for the amount of data I backup (100's of Gb). A better solution is to rotate three sets of hard drives, and store one offsite."

Robert M. Wallis replied to Dwayne Flake's discussion Foamcore mounting in the group Photographers Darkroom
