To my friends who I sent a msg privately, feel free to post here. Did not know this exisited, still new. I have been accepted into both of these shows. Now the delima which one. I will be in Mt Vernon the week before and could be in nashville or Cleveland the week after. I sell jewelry, price points from $45 to $1500. Average price point is about $300, most one a of kind pieces start @ $300 and go up. This is all new terrority, so any one out there....... what's your vote.

- Winter Park March 2011 - Won an award of Distinction, and made real money! 2nd best - League of NH Craftsmen - 9 days but when its over invetory is down but the account is up!

- Leesburg Art Festival....20% unemployment and the juror should have never accepted an artist with 18K gold jewelry...most attendances had $50 bucks to spend $15 went to food......lots of buy sell and there are an art school!

OK, I am asking so be kind and lend a helping hand. Have you done any of these shows, tell me the good, bad or ugly. Or know one who has. Looking for feedback. With gas as high as it is...shows within 400 miles use to cost $200 for gas are now $500. This is hurt'in the pocket book. So, before I book 4 shows before St james I would like to know what I might be getting into. Thanks in advance. ~b

Oh well, Seems we lucked out with the weather catagory THIS YEAR! Set up starts at 6 am Saturday, with one hour increments to get close to your booth to unload, NOT set up from your vehicle. It was drizzley but in the 60's. and humid. By 10 am the public (yes, I have choosed that word specifically) started to meander around. oh, forgot breakfast was from 8:30 on, bagels, muffins, fruit, coffee, soda and water. Most were looking, seeking to find the great buy before the weather got…

Ok...been here in Florida enjoying the "I don't have to shovel it weather! " On to my last show before heading home to NH.
Winter Park, been rejected many times but this year the Gods were shining on me. I had just found this web site, created my space/ page and needed to go and setup for the show. The night before I was looking for ways to collect emails other than after the sale and found a great post by Jim Parker. Thank you.
