What are the best things about art fairs

I love to visit with patrons of all ages. 1 especially like to visit with students as I was a public school art teacher for many years. I focused on my painting and showed in more art fairs after retirement in 2019.

Best show ever and why

Lumberyard Art Center in Baldwin City, Kansas. 2022 I enjoyed my art talk to patrons, but more importantly, the local public school art teacher brought her students on a separate occasion and I was able to visit with them about my art and art in general. I love talking with art students!

Worst show ever and why

Bradley Art Fair, Wichita, Kanas 2023 This was a very well organized, well-run show, however it rained much of the weekend and I made very few sales! Not the organization's fault. The weather adversely affected attendance.

Who referred you to ArtFairInsiders.com? Please be specific.

I believe I saw something on Facebook, but I am not positive.

What is one fun fact about yourself?

I am the opposite of a stereotypical artist! As a former teacher I am very organized and particular about my studio and storage of supplies. With this in mind one might be surprised by my love of non-objective or abstract art, which is my focus. I can get out of my introverted, organized shell and be free with paint. I do pay very close attention to the art elements and principles as my guides to painting, which contributes to the success or failure of each work's success.
