Comment by Robert Johnson on April 17, 2013 at 5:02pm Bob,
Have you ever done the Fine Furniture Show in Milwaukee? What is the domes, is that in Milwaukee and when is it?
Comment by Bob Kloes on April 17, 2013 at 4:56pm I am waiting on Hidden river as well. Never did many shows before. I did the show at the domes last year and did pretty well. My stuff is higher priced and it was one of the better shows I have done. Everything sold in 1 day. Show ran 3 days. Wish they would cut back to 2. I am doing some shows at Highland Park in Illinois. Also doing some up in northern Wisconsin. I have done the fox valley and door county. Not much good to report.
Comment by Robert Johnson on April 17, 2013 at 4:47pm This is my first year so can't say much about the shows. I will be doing Park Point Art show in Duluth, MN week of June 29th. Waiting on acceptance for Kohler Art Festival in July and Hidden River in Sept. Anyone do these shows in the past.
Comment by Bob Kloes on April 17, 2013 at 8:55am Hello folks. Hope to learn more about the other woodworkers here as well as what shows we all do. Thanks, bob
Comment by Robert Johnson on March 5, 2013 at 10:21am I see that there have been no posts for 8 months, is this group still active?
Has anyone ever done the Park Point Art Show in Duluth, MN? Applied and waiting for acceptance. Have family in Duluth and travel there ever few months so thought as long as going there anyway might as well try it.
I had decided to cut back on my arts and crafts shows for this year and, by the time I changed my mind, I was too late to apply to many of the events in which I would have liked to paticipate. So, now I'm beginning to look at 2013 because I don't want to make that same mistake again. In light of that, I would be interested in hearing from others on the subject of, in which shows have you had your greatest successes? From experience, I know that a show can be the highest rated show on Earth and still not be real great for the woodworkers. So, I'm trying to isolate some of the shows in which woodworkers have done well. Any info would be greatly appreciated.
Comment by Kevin Williamson on May 14, 2012 at 1:28pm I have an Etsy site, but oddly sold more at first than now. I maintain it though as it seems a good avenue to self promote for the cost even if I don't sell much there.
