What is the Midwest?

Good question -- lots of states and most of the best shows in the country. We can concentrate on IL, IN, MI, WI, IA, OH, MO, KS and NE -- but we can stretch those boundaries. We're in charge here!

We've been accepted to the Wichita Art and Book Fair after having not participated in it for about 12 years. We just noticed that it only has 40 artists.  Has anyone attended this fair recently?  We are trying to decide if it's worth the 5 hour…Continue

Loving art fairs in small towns this summer!

It's been a long time since I started my own discussion, but this summer I've had such great experiences in smaller towns!  In July, I was at the Three Rivers Art Fair in Fort Wayne, IN.  It was a busy place.  I didn't have enough time to walk…Continue

What's the funniest thing you've ever seen a man do while shopping?

So many art fairs, so little time...Arts, Beats and Eats - Royal Oak, MI, the Birmingham, MI art fairs, Detroit Urban Craft Fair, Ridge Fine Art and Craft, Ann Arbor Art Fair (the grandaddy) and the list goes on and on...

Lakefront Art Fair in Michigan City, IN.  Smallish.  Very nicely juried, $ awards, responsive organizers.

Kettering, OH.  One day show in August.  Very nice selection of artists.

Omaha Summer Arts Festival was good for me. I've only done it once, but it was well-organized, and tons of people came and bought. And they were very, very nice people. Set-up and take-down are easy. The 11Worth restaurant alone is practically worth the trip. I dig Omaha.
