Thanks, Warren. I've seen a sinusoidal stake and forming blocks on Otto Frei and am thinking of ordering one of those since I can't make one. Hopefully, I'll be able to report on my success soon.

Joanne, late in reply but the only way to really do anticlastic raising is to use a sinusoidal stake. I make my own and just basically a rod of steel with a curve in it that can be held in a vise. Then you also have to have a few different hammers. Learning the process is quite easy.

I'm new to this group (and new to AFI). I create one-of-a-kind jewelry and do some wire crochet. But I've recently gotten into metalworking and love it. I would like to know if anyone can tell me where to purchase a tool for forming an anticlastic bracelet. I don't want to spend the kind of money needed for a hydraulic press, and I'm not sure how to use the sinusoidal stakes I've seen on Otto Frei -- or what "wave" to get if I get one of those. I've seen a tool in the GRS catalog called the GRS metal former -- which is what I'd like, but it doesn't appear to have an anticlastic insert. Does anyone know if there is such a thing? Thanks so much. Looking forward to being part of this discussion group. Joanne
