Thanks for comments, except for Skip's ;)

Like all shows, there are good and bad experiences.

Glad to hear that someone has a good show there.

Fortunately, our work is more on the weird side......

Hey James, and it's getting weirder since the Flying Monkeys, and Garden Gonmes formed a union and I had to let them go.I'm having a hard time getting creative without them pestering me all the time.

I will be doing the Banner Elk Show as well (both of them) and it's one of my top 5 shows. Even with a flooded booth on Saturday...we had record numbers. I think I have established a good repeat customer base...even in just three years but this little show is up there with my Coconut Grove Show. I'm Silver & Gold Jewelry (lost wax), my customers buy my jewelry anywhere from $200.00 to $3,600 at that show...I personally love that show.

I have done that show, (avery county mastercrafts) both the one in July and the fall one several years in a row.........very good show. The only problem has been the weather..........last year it rained both events. About 10,000 people. I am  a hi end jeweler, do both lapidary and silversmithing with average prices of about 110........... I usually do close to 2k.

Regarding the Banner Elk show..We have been there for three years and we are done. It is in a well established area and there is more looking than buying. A lot of craft stuff too. There is another "promoter" in the area and she does several shows during the year with low quality and the people can't tell the difference between an art show or any other kind of show. We live there and won't do any more shows here.
