I am a fused glass artist -- bright colors - cheerful - on show circuit for over 12 yrs including St. James Court. scaled back shows due to death in family. Currently available in 6 galleries. Would take on 2-3 more. Min initial limit $200- after that no limit . Turn around 2-4 wks. Editing web site now so pix not available that way now. (soon back up).

I am getting ready for the Currituck Wildlife Show September 8 & 9, 2012. Are there any other AFI members going to be there?

Well everyone, finally back home in Arizona and off the road. Working on our art gallery........have seven artists but still need artists in other fields. Need stained glass, glass, water color and pastel painters, sculpture, copper jeweler, leather crafter, unique and usual artists to round out our store. Excellent location in the Presidio in Tucson. Good oportunity, get more than 500k people during the winter. Long time art site in existance for more than 25 years and in a national historic registar building. 175 per month + 15%. open everyday but Christmas. You or anyone you know that may be interested contact me on artfairinsiders. Opportunity wont last long, most artists are signing a years contract...........and I am being very picky

Hi alll. I live in SC and make wire wrapped jewelry. I am very new to the art business thing, but not to art. Since I am new to the world of art fairs I will need all the help I can get. This group sounds like a great place to learn.

Thanks for comments, except for Skip's ;)

Like all shows, there are good and bad experiences.

Glad to hear that someone has a good show there.

Fortunately, our work is more on the weird side......

I will be doing the Banner Elk Show as well (both of them) and it's one of my top 5 shows. Even with a flooded booth on Saturday...we had record numbers. I think I have established a good repeat customer base...even in just three years but this little show is up there with my Coconut Grove Show. I'm Silver & Gold Jewelry (lost wax), my customers buy my jewelry anywhere from $200.00 to $3,600 at that show...I personally love that show.

I have done that show, (avery county mastercrafts) both the one in July and the fall one several years in a row.........very good show. The only problem has been the weather..........last year it rained both events. About 10,000 people. I am  a hi end jeweler, do both lapidary and silversmithing with average prices of about 110........... I usually do close to 2k.
