Yet another scam

Here's one I received this morning. These people must count on the recipient being dumber than a box of rocks. I told them to go to my bookkeeper, Helen Waite, for payment. Should you have requests about this e-bill please call or email us. Looking forward. Client Ref.: US0 5409 Invoice ID: 1004817 Issue date: AUG-23-2016 Terms: NET-15

  • The most popular to creep into my in box are "gift card" offers.........yea right like I buy from Amazon.......old school gal here, prefer to support my local shops. Mark them as spam and moved on.........oh and not to mention now the IRS msg on the home phone that we owe money is from some computer Sgt titled gal.........
    • I get the "gift card" offers so frequently I don't even think about them. Yep; Walmart, Amazon, Target, and a couple of minor ones come through all the time. Not a chance in hell I'll click on those links since checking the source code usually shows the email originating from Europe. I finally just blocked the entire .EU domain and that stopped most of them. I should do the same thing for the .ru domains also.

  • I get  2 or 3 a day in my spam box. Many times there's a link to open to see the "invoice". Yeah, right. As if I'm gonna open it.

  • I get this junk often and find it easy to just ignore them...

  • I usually have one or more of these in Junk every day. Blocking their address doesn't reduce the number either.
