Call for Artists, Making Money at Juried Art Fairs, Craft Shows and Festivals
What are you doing this Weekend - February 18-20?
It is a big weekend in art fair land, I'd guess the busiest one all winter long. If you are in Florida you are probably packing your van now and getting a little anxious about the upcoming weekend.
Where will you be? The Big One, Coconut Grove? The nearby one, solid satellite at St. Stephen's Church grounds? A little north in Jupiter at Arti Gras? Uptown Art Expo at its new location in Altamonte Springs? Spending the weekend with Howard in Sarasota? Anywhere else?

I was in NYC - meeting up with a couple that might be able to move my career forward with a gallery/broker in NYC. I moved this fall and so didn't apply to shows for at LEAST 9 months, and if I don't get on it soon, won't have any shows to go to this spring/summer!

Getting ready for a featured my featured artist show where I will be one of 3 featured artists at Chesterfield Arts

Here is a nice story about Coconut Grove -- as you may recall last year artists were a little bothered because there was an award given for culinary arts (sorry, I don't remember the whole story), so when I came across this story from the Miami New Times - Food as Art, I was prepared to be disappointed. The reporter comes to the Arts festival and what does he/she report on? The food. BUT- not so! This reporter had a great time finding images to back up her story.
