As I mentioned last year was my first year so i know my booth needs to be changed and i have some ideas of my own but before I do anything I thought it would be helpful to get some suggestions from the experts and those of you who have  some experience.

ANY ideas would be great.  I await your brutal review and sage wisdom advice )

  • I was thinking the same thing as Larry.  Solid walls such as you can buy with most tents will give the walls a more finished look.

If the shows allow table covers to the floor then add that.  The tables look unfinished with short table skirts.  If they don't allow it, then find an alternative way to display what is on the table.

Personally I don't like the sign about last hour, make an offer.  First, any signage should be done more professionally.  Second, I dislike those sorts of discounts/offers.  In this case it looks last minute and thrown together.

You may have perfectly great art but it does not shine through in this setting.

    • thanks, and i agree, like i said i know changes need to be made which is why i posted.

out of curiousity i need to change my bins for teh table that i ahve matted art in....what are some of the things other people are using, do you have any preference?

As for the walls i already bought  guide to make my own display panels (attached)  is that the types of panels ou are talking about?

      • Brian,

I don't do photography but from what I've read, and everyone please correct me if I am wrong, but I believe the photographers would advise one print bin only.

About the tables.  I would advise putting photos (matted or framed) lying flat on a table.  I would think it's better to have it hung on one of your walls.  I suppose you could put framed prints on table top or floor type easels, depending on the size of the framed print and space you have.

I have seen a lot of the folks here talk about using pro panels or similar brands of displays.  I use the "walls" that come with the tent I have (had .... lost it to weather).

        • No tables or easels, they take up too much room in the booth. A single bin for the booth picture because the booth picture is supposed to be representative of how the booth will look at a show.

          • Hi Brian,

Go to google. Type in - photography booth at art show- then hit images.

You should find plenty of pics to give you a feel for how yours should look.

  • Too much clutter with open (uncovered) walls that present visual chaos. You need to step back and rethink how to make it more professionally looking.
