Hi, everyone!

I recently purchased pro panels and a tent and just this morning, between rain storms, was able to have a couple booth shots taken. I'd really welcome any thoughts or feedback on which was is strongest. One item that will jump out is the reflection in one of the larger pieces on the back wall. This work has a resin top coat and reflections are just part of the game to a large extent. I'm hopeful that this in itself will not lead to deductions. But let me know what you think. I'd also ideally have a neutral area rug in the center, but just don't have it yet. Thanks in advance! ~ John.

  • Number Three is better because there are no flare circles and it has a bin for reproductions. But it can be improved. Arrange all the paintings so that the tops are at the same height and remove the white price/name signs. Next time use a lens hood and/or shade the front of the lens so the sun doesn't hit it. If you don't sell reproductions do not include the bin. You can easily drop in pictures over the two paintings on the back wall to remove the reflections.

    • Thanks very much for the feedback and advice, Larry! I was definitely unsure about inclusion of the white tags. Would those not be typical? Curious what the ideal method is.  WRT the glare I have the ability to composite clean photos, but I'm very mindful of admonitions in some submission requirements about use of photoshop in creating booth shots. It basically says use of PS is unacceptable. But perhaps those requirements are more around complete composites and virtual booth images?  Again, thanks so much - from my reading already I've come to value your feedback and involvement across the site. ~ John.

      • Never use Photoshop and make it look like you used Photoshop. You can leave the white tags but they distract and cause the jurors to spend a little more time looking at the booth.

        • Revised below... Though my concern now is given these are resined pieces the lack of any reflection is suspect. I'm having these reshot today so perhaps with better images it can work - I'd love to hear your thoughts on the preliminary comparison to the original uploaded image. Thank you, Larry!

          • You have the same picture on the wall as in the bin. One needs to change. Also, the top heights need to match all around the booth so the jurors eyes flow.

            • Thank you, Larry.. Much appreciated!

        • I understand what you mean regarding PS. And I can make those tags disappear too, but doesn't the lack of any tags make the hang look unfinished? I can look elsewhere on the site for advice regarding labels but what I have has seemed typical.
