Need feedback on indoor art festivals

Advertising does have so much to do with the turnout and I'm sure I'll realize this even more and I continue to do more shows. You wonder why some shows don't put forth the effort in advertising if they are going to have a show in the first place. I'm glad you did great in your show in VT! Good luck in your FL shows!

Hi Ali,

Whenever I look at applying to a show that I have never done before, I always look at the previous years' artist list. And if I don't recognize any names, I go to their websites to see what caliber of work they do (and if mine would fit into that particular show). It's always a good idea to research shows before hand (especially with money being so tight on everyones' end). And if there is an artist that does that show, that I know, I try to contact them and ask what their thought were......hope this helps....sorry so late-just saw this thread.

This does help. Thanks. I did try and research this show and couldn't find a whole lot. It was really hard to find the artists from last year's show. The artists that I did find had some good work so I was up in the air. I finally decided to skip it this year and apply for a show that was closer. It's a much better option because I won't have to spend money on a hotel:) Thanks again for the info!
