Hi Sharon, if you put credit card processing in the search box at the top right of this site you'll find several discussions of the top that should be helpful to you.

Additionally, I always recommend 1nbcard.com and Teamac.com as these two businesses are run by people who specialize in the art fair business and understand the need for mobile applications.
Thanks so much Connie.
Hi Sharon,

I have been using the company 1st National Processing for several years. They are so much better than anything I have used before. They are by the way a sponsor of this website. Look down at the bottom on the right side and there they are. the website is
http://www.1nbcard.com/content/mobile_credit_card_processing_artisa...

I find they do understand us and they don't try to over sell equipment we don't need. Good luck to you.
Thanks Nancy!
I use 1st National Processing also. They understand the art show biz. Some months I don't use them at all and their rates are very affordable. I used to use a machine where you upload your info at the end of the day. I got beat by a guy with a phoney card. I talked to them and bought a very reasonable wireless machine and am very satisfied.

Great feedback Holly. Thanks so much!
Pat -

I recently lost a bit due to my store and forward too - which wireless machine did you go with? Are you charged a monthly wireless fee as well?

-Josh

I got the Nurit Verifone 8020. I do pay a monthly fee (which I can not remember the amount right off hand, my wife is the buisness person and I'm the artist) for the account but I do not pay a wireless fee. It is a very reasonable amount though. We were with Pro Pay and their rates and equipment costs were getting unreasonable. If you want when the boss (my wife) gets home I'll email you the amounts of the monthly charges.
