Call for Artists, Making Money at Juried Art Fairs, Craft Shows and Festivals
Hi - I'm new from NC
A fellow beading friend recently introduced me to this website. I live in Cary NC and have been doing local shows for 8 years. I'm trying to take my art a little more seriously and get into more shows outside of NC. I do hand-woven beaded jewelry and just had my first book come out in January on a new beading technique I use. I look forward to learning lots from all of you. Thanks!

There are a lot of shows up in Virginia, especially the next few months. Some big, some small. Check out Stockley Gardens, Seawall, and the Ocean View Art Show. All are relatively inexpensive and draw decent size crowds. There's also Virginia Beach's Boardwalk show in June and their Neptune Festival in September, for higher priced shows with more attendance. Boardwalk and Neptune use Zapplication for registration. If you do decide to come up this way, let me know and I'll check out some reasonably priced, but safe, places to stay.
