Call for Artists, Making Money at Juried Art Fairs, Craft Shows and Festivals
Hello
Hi, I have actually been using artfairinsiders for quite a while, but never joined. I like to check out this site before applying to shows. I am from Rome Georgia, and have been doing art shows/fairs for about 14 years. I don't do many a year, though, because I am a teacher and can only travel in the summer. However, I retire in 10 years and plan on going to more places. My husband, Johnnie, is also an artist. He makes hand built pottery. I do a bunch of stuff. Goes with the teacher job requirement. I mostly paint in a "happy" way with bright colors. I also make fun things out of clay. My only website is on etsy. I have 2 boys, 2 dogs, 2 birds, a cat, and a rabbit. I really still enjoy doing art fairs after all those years. If I am not in a show, I am visiting one.

A teacher's schedule is perfect for doing the art fairs, Penny, as you may have discovered. It can be a terrific summer job and pay a lot better than teaching summer school. We're glad to have you here and hope we can be helpful in the next ten years as you make your way into the world of art fairs. We look forward to your sharing your adventures with us.
