  • Thank you, Greg! I got so distracted with so many days off that I forgot to check in here. Hope yours was full of friends and fun.

The NYC parade is always on in the background while the cooking is happening. I do all the Martha Stewart things and my family gets a little exasperated, especially since I was doing it in my sister's kitchen this year. Filo instead of puff pastry? How did I make that error?

Many thanks to everyone who  makes this site helpful to the rest and many blessings I hope my AFI "friends" (you know who you are, you wonderful online friends) will receive during this season.

  • Happy Thanksgiving!  We have devoured our turkey day lunch.  We had baked turkey, sweet potato casserole, cornbread dressing with chicken, salad, rolls, and pecan pie.  It was all well received an no one left hungry.  My dad is on his way home and seemed to enjoy his visit here.  I sent him home with a  little project to do for me.  Hopefully when I see him next week it'll be done.

Many happy and thankful blessings to all the members here, stateside and elsewhere.  :D

  • Hey there, GL! Many blessings to you and your wife, and to all here on AFI. Happy Thanksgiving. We've got a load of new snow and it's still snowing. Already gobbled down killer food for breakfast, now have the pot on making some veggie broth with which we'll mix into our dressing. Then it's on to the sweet potatoes and whatever else. Vegetarian style happening here. Where's that Rotel dip? Here it comes! And lovin' the NYC parade on TV. WOOHOO!
