Call for Artists, Making Money at Juried Art Fairs, Craft Shows and Festivals

Hi!  I have upgraded my booth, and I purchased the 4-foot tables that fold in the middle (from Sam's) that were discussed in another thread.  I like that they will telescope to 36" tall.

Does anyone know of a good source for fitted table covers?  Collector's House can have this size custom made for $135 each.  I was looking for a cheaper solution.  I only find fitted covers for 6' and 8' tables that are 30" high when I do internet searches.

What does everyone do for table covers that match and look classy?

Thanks,

Pat

Hey Pat,
I don't use table covers, but this place did me right on pipe/drape. They also carry table covers you may be able to use.
Good luck,
Kevin

Try Premier Linens online :-)

There's also another place online that I think is called "LinensforLess"

I'll be doing the same thing as I plan to purchase the 4' tables that extend :-)
Thanks to everyone that posted to my question. I received an e-mail from Mary of Online EEI.com about custom skirting. I haven't heard back with a price, yet. But I'm very excited that they responded.

Will keep you posted,
Thanks again,
Pat L.
I'm sorry I gave the wrong link for Premier Linens......it's www.premiertablelinens.com

Patricia, I'm in the same boat......just bought four 4' tables that extend to 36" high which is the height I'll be using. I've emailed about pricing but so far haven't heard anything. Have you looked at fitted tablecloths?
Hi Lindsay-

Actually, I prefer fitted table coverings to skirting. "Collector's House" can custom make the fitted ones. Their stock fitted coverings are $69, so 4 of them would be reasonable. However, that's not the case for the 36" high custom coverings. I'm trying to find my e-mail from them, but I believe the 36" tall custom coverings are over $100. $135 per custom tablecovering is sticking in my brain, so 4 of these are pricey and more than I wanted to spend. They do have lots of colors, though. I didn't want to buy them one at a time, either.

Thanks,
Pat

Yikes! I just can't afford that much so I might be making my own fitted tablecloths with the help of a friend who sews!! ;-)

Thank you everybody for helping me with this issue.

Hi All-

I found my e-mail from Jeffrey Ebert at Collector House. I was wrong about the price at Collector House; I was remembering the price for 2 fitted tablecovers. He quoted (before Christmas) $65 for a fitted tablecovering for a 4-foot by 36" high table + UPS shipping. He also sent me a swab of material so I could see if it would match what I already have for my booth. I think the average size height tablecovering is $49.

I also went to premiertablelinens.com. They have a calculator built into their website. Table skirting with shirred pleats for a 4-foot x 36"H table is $78. The same thing with boxed pleats is $111.00 each.

That's my research so far.

I've bookmarked these websites but haven't had a chance to look at them about table skirts and fitted table covers.

One of these has some pretty table overlays for really cheap prices!

Here's another resource:

www.flourish.com

They make tents and other festival supplies so you know the covers are sturdy and made to stand up to art fairs.

Pat,
This all sounds pretty expensive! I hate to sew, but when I bought all of my tables, I also purchased some really inexpensive polyester fabric from Walmart and made my own fitted covers. They are smooth rather than pleated and have slits in the back so I can stash thing easily. The polyester won't wrinkle, and it just goes right into my plastic bins when I'm done, adding extra padding for my pottery. They are washable, and don't need ironing. So I ended up with 4 (now I only use 3) skirts for basically pennies. I put tablecloths over the tops for more color in the booth. If you really DON'T sew, maybe you can find a friend or relative to help. It was just a lot of measuring and straight seams, so someone who is an artist ought to be able to do it... ;-) Good luck finding what you want.

I have had an interesting several days looking around the internet trying to find 'decently' priced table skirting. I even went so far as to contact some linen manufacturers in China.......their prices and photos were great but then they add upwards of $200 to ship.........lol. Geez! I even had an online chat with a representative from a wedding linen place that ended up with her telling me she "thinks" so and so would fit my tables?

I wish I could sew and it's looking more and more like I'm going to have to learn soon. I know now what I want my booth to look like and how I want my tables set up etc........they're just not going to have tablecovers.......lol.

I do have two friends that are going to try to help me ...... one has suggestions and the other sews.....keep your toes and fingers crossed for me because right now I just cannot afford the prices for four table skirts or fitted tablecovers :-(
