I'm looking for crush proof/resistant mailing tubes for shipping large format prints (17x22ish). I tried the triangular tubes that USPS provides, but the first one I mailed got smashed en route. Any suggestions?

I second Yazoo Mills. They have all sizes and deliver very quickly. They are very sturdy.
Check with a discount fabric store that stores their fabric on heavy cardboard tubes to see if they have extras. Also check with http://www.repurposedmaterialsinc.com/
