Call for Artists, Making Money at Juried Art Fairs, Craft Shows and Festivals

I'm not sure where to put this topic, and since I'm a newb I'll put it here.

Do you price differently for a consignment shop than you do for a show?  When you take your stuff to a consignment shop do you quote the price of what you want for the item and then the shop keeper adds their percentage and sells it that?  Or does the owner take a percentage of the price you quote?

Thanks  Teri

Hi Teri,
The consignment shops that I have dealt with sell at the price you set and take their cut from that. When pricing you need to figure your wholesale price and retail price. My prices online, at a show, and in a consignment shop are the same. My wholesale price I use when a shop owner wants to purchase the item to sell in their shop. That said, I do sent out % off coupons to my mailing/email list.
