Banners of your artwork as part of your display

I've seen some artists at artshows hang what look like vinyl banners in their tent to showcase their artwork. Where do you make them? I've looked at Kinkos but don't like what I see. Any suggestions on where to make them or how to? I've got some ideas I want to explore. Thanks. Pete

  • I recently decided to add a banner to my display. I usually have a smaller sign that I put up but a lot of my artwork is smaller and I decided that my setup needed something really large and very colorful to draw attention. I'm going to hang in toward the back of my booth vertically. I have pole pockets on the top and bottom and want it to extend from the end of one of my back panels. I just have to figure out how I'm going to attach it. The material is mesh so it will hopefully hide a lot of the back sales area of the tent but still allow me to see what's going on if I'm back there.

I'll let you know how it works and maybe post a pic.

  • Wilson Graphics does a terrific job of this ... you send them your high-res digital image via email and they can make up a canvas poster with grommets.  Very reasonable prices and quick turnaround, too.  They have an Etsy shop.

I had them make me five 16 x 20 photos of my work plus a 6-foot by 1-foot banner for the front of my tent.  Thrilled with everything I've gotten from them, and other dealers always ask me where I got my banners.

  • Fast Signs and any place that is franchised will be overpriced.  Do a search on GOOGLE.... Even eBay has many sellers that sell good quality banners at a huge discount.  But, I personally highly recommend Nick at 414-975-8478 www.milweb1.com  ... Just tell him Hugo Cruz sent you.

  • I use Vistaprint.com for all my signage and  business  marketing needs- shirts, hat, indoor and outdoor signs, banners, biz cards, earring cards, flyers, Car magnets, bumper stickers, address labels, box labels, etc. Been using them for years. Great prices, great free offer deals, great service. You can upload your own photos and designs, use one of thiers, etc.

  • VistaPrint is great.  Also, if you join groupon, they often have a groupon for VistaPrint where you pay $17 for $70 worth of items.    I have purchased a few banners from them and they are pretty good quality.  I also ordered a couple of their banner stands for my indoor shows using the groupon.

    • I've searched, but is this the deal that expired in August? Thanks for the tip...I forgot aboput Groupon for art supplies!

      • They put the VistaPrint out quite often.  Also, periodically do a google search for groupon vistaPrint and you will find one in a different area.  I have been able to get 3 banners and 4 embroidered polo's

Using their business card orders, I designed my own earring cards with my logo and web address.  So many possibilities through them.

      • If you sign up for newsletters etc. with Vistaprint you will get specials sent to you eg. small banners (which aren't that small) can be free.
