O.K. Read lots of unsavory reviews of Bele Cher in past years and wondering if anyone did it in 2012? Would really appreciate feedback. We're in the "street part" not the higher end "art" section. My questions are, is it still a drunk Fest, how long are the hours, is security any better than years past? Are people actually buying anything or are they there just for the party? We sell medium price jewelry, $22 earrings to $ 175 necklaces. It's a long drive for us, so any info would be greatly appreciated!

  • Asheville NC, lots of furry women and dreadlocks. Good ppl watching show
  • Where is this show?

  • I did Bele Chere in 2011, even tho they do drink a lot it's one of my favorite shows. We always try to go on Haywood St, less partying on that one. I usually stay open til 8pm. And yes the last time I did it there was some tent slashing, if your going to do it set your tent up a little further back from both your neighbors. That saved my side the last time I did it. Two of my sides have small slashes from other shows I put those 2 front & back. The 2 good sides are protected. I'm thinking this year I'll take some really crappy sides I have and put those front & back. It's a long drive for me also 8+ hours but I make a good profit at Bele Chere, just set up accordingly and take your product with you at night.
