I was asked recently by a person, "what kind of artist are you?", and with my usual squirming around this common question, replied, "I paint, and I sculpt, and I am into wood carving, wire art, art furniture, ceramics,......I guess I am an Attention Deficit Artist"!

So that is how I am characterizing myself for now, but more specifically I am a newbie, newbie to the art fair thang, so much so that I am not sure yet if I am even 100% commited to having a booth this year, but I am very serious about learning what I can and sharing knowledge with others so that I get more confident to the point of making that first show.

If pressed to a particular genre for my first show, I will likely focus on figurative and landscape oil paintings. I am also an avid collector and conservationist of antique frames to include with my artwork.

So that is a little about me, and I am really looking forward to getting to know some folks here while learning more about this biz.

  • Welcome Kirk, from one ADD artist to another. Actually, I think being ADD makes me far more creative than some of my contemporaries...they keep doing the same thing over and over, but I can't remember what I just did, so everything I do is one-of-a-kind! Keeps life interesting.

Lots to learn here and lots to share.
