I am a jewelry artist doing a show next weekend indoors in a museum. My space is 10 wide x 6 deep. I have pipe and drape I can use for the backdrop, & I have an idea of my set up. But not sure how to approach lighting. I usually use my trimline frame w/track lights across the top. I could rig up one side w/pipe & no drape and put the lights on the top bar (i think I have a top bar that telescopes from 6-10 feet). But I worry that will blind people. They recommend lighting, But I don't really want to invest in new equpment.

It looks like from the picture you posted that the light is behind the display up above. You need to figure out a way to position your lights directly above the display facing down. That way people won't be standing in the light casting a shadow on the work they are looking at.
