DESCRIPTION:Bloomington, IN - As part of its strategic vision to offer
  entrepreneurial and educational opportunities to the creative communi
 ty, the City of Bloomington's Entertainment and Arts District (BEAD) i
 s hosting workshops on social media networking on Friday, Feb. 12th, f
 rom 9:00 am – 1:15 pm in the Bloomington City Council Chambers, 401 
 N. Morton Street.\nThese workshops are sponsored by the Indiana Arts C
 ommission. Registration is required, but they are FREE!\n\nThe worksho
 ps will cover two areas of web-based marketing platforms of interest t
 o artists and arts and cultural organizations: social media marketing 
 and Etsy. Sarah \"Intellagirl\" Robbins will be providing the keynote 
 on social media marketing for artists and arts and cultural organizati
 ons from 9:30 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. Two break-out sessions will follow at
  11:15: Robbins will be offering a hands-on session on social media ma
 rketing and Jon and Patricia Hecker will be offering a beakout session
  on Etsy for those who want to find out how to sell art on the web, se
 t up their own shop, or enhance their current Etsy presence.\n\nAbout 
 the Presenters\n\nSarah “Intellagirl” Robbins has helped dozens of
  schools and businesses learn to wrangle with the question “what do 
 social media and virtual worlds have to offer?” Her work has been fe
 atured in The New York Times, USA Today and the Chronicle of Higher Ed
 ucation. She is the co-author of Second Life for Dummies and dozens of
  articles.\n\nJon and Patricia Hecker, independent artists for 23 year
 s, have participated in almost every aspect of the arts spectrum. Form
 ally trained as graphic artists with a heavy emphasis on brand identit
 y and marketing, they incorporate these key points in their unique lin
 es of fine art. A new body of work called \"Tattoo Dreams\" is heavily
  marketed online through the arts-commerce website, Etsy.com.\nhttp://
 tattoodreams.etsy.com\n\nThe event begins at 9:00 am with registration
  and networking. Advanced registration for the workshop is required an
