SUMMARY:Custer's Last Stand Festival of the Arts
DESCRIPTION:Evanston's 38th Annual Custer's Last Stand Festival of the
  Arts will be held on Saturday and Sunday, June 19 & 20 in the heart o
 f the Main Street Station Shopping District. The main entrance to the 
 fair is at the intersection of Chicago Ave. and Main St. in Evanston. 
 The Festival opens at 10 am and closes at 7 pm. The Jazz Stage & Food 
 booths on Chicago Ave. stay open till 9 pm both nights. Custer’s Las
 t Stand was inducted into the Illinois Festival Hall of Fame as one of
  the top festivals in Illinois. There are 400 arts, crafts, and mercan
 tile exhibitors from all around America. Thirty restaurants are featur
 ed at the Custer FoodFest. The Jazz Stage runs continuous music and th
 e Show Stage features music and variety entertainment such as a Native
  American Indian Pow Wow. The Green Fair section returns along with th
 e Theophilis Lemming Medicine Show presented by Piccolo Theatre and fe
 aturing 20 variety acts including theatre, puppets, juggling and clown
 s performing throughout the fair. Each year 70,000 people attend this 
 Evanston tradition. Patrons are encouraged to take the CTA or Metra, w
